Twenty One? Done. Happy Birthday Hops



Do you guys even read this? Miss you. Today Katie and I pooed at the same time in different bathrooms with walkie talkies.

Hey guys
Holler from the library at ENSAD, my new school. ENSAD stands for "Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoritifs," which basically just means art school. Its super chill. Rodin went here along with some other beezies, and it was founded in 1766 by Louis XV. Im taking photography, and I was super scared because its all in French but it seems like its gonna be ok. I have a fancy student ID card and right now Im in the library. The building is like a spaceship, all round and bubbly and red. The bathrooms have big pretty bowls for sinks and you press a cutty stylish button with your foot to turn on the water. I can also get espresso for 80 cents, and a bomb sando for 2 euros. Im feeling really good about it: Im tryin to make lots of friends. The people here are all dressed like us, instead of fancy schmancy ritzy like everyone else in paris. I know that sounds superficial, but theres something to be said for the way people dress. All the boys are pretty and the sample art work thats up on the walls is absolutely awesome. I want to take some of it home with me.

So I guess I go to art school now. I have my Sorbonne class and my other classes, but this one is vraiment legitimater. I have access to a screen printing lab, a bunch of cool computers and software, a color and black and white darkroom, a textile room, a phat photo studio and more.

I dont know what im going to do today. Its fashion week in Paris so I want to go stalk the Beckhams and Cruises and Karl Lagerfeld. I think Im gonna change into a fancy outfit and get espresso and cruise downtown to find celebrity beezies.

One more thing: i miss you all too much. I know its dumb for me to keep thinking about home, but this summer was awesome. every time i space out in class i find myself thinking about random places in marin, so often that ive started writing them down in the margins. And not just thinking about them, but daydreaming about them and Im not even conscious of it until I stop and realize what im doing. Here are the ones I thought of today:

Got my visa for France today. The first stamp ever in my passport. I also met a cool girl from Seattle at the French consulate who I'm going to hang out with in Paris. She reminds me a lot of you, Sophie (only not as cool).

So here I go! France for 4 months. Leaving at 4 am tomorrow morning.

Don't call my cell phone, because it's deactivated until January. So don't even try, yo! Email me or LJ me. And send me your addresses because I will be writing lots of letters by the Seine with my cappucinos, cigarettes and ennui.

Oh, and thanks for the best summer guys. Wasn't just awesome? I had so much fun it makes me gag. Here's one more pic for ya'll. Catch you later!

Last night was a great Marin night. It started with Emily M and I walkin around Fairfax, where we met Glutz and Katmarsh and Bmag and Leena. Then I got my first scoop cone since I've been back, which was a momentous occasion. Then Matt picked us up and we went to a party at Coco's. Condo Chrondo was there, along with lots of other great peeps. It was great to see Kate Mcall and Aubyn and Ben and Jack Beaut and D Firp, who I hadn't seen in a while. Then I proceeded to get SO DRUNK accidentally, and we all got in a big hug and sang Neutral Milk Hotel.

Then I saw people I haven't seen since 7th grade, and afterwards I was drunk enough to approve walking around the headlands at night even though I'm always scared of murderers. It was so foggy they wouldn't have been able ot find us anyway.

Can't believe how strange it is to be anything at all

So legit! Not dramatic factor. Just good old fashioned 20 year old fun. I can't wait for everyone to be home so we can do this all the time. And also today Emily N facebooked this photo from Renn Fayre, and it encompasses all I want out of the summer factor. Just with you guys in it too.
